Director Statement

Sometime, in a person’s darkest hour, when they can’t seem to reach out to family or friends, along comes a stranger who inspires and comforts them. Some time ago, this happened to me and then, sometime later, I was witness to a similar incident. These two events motivated me to create “Watch This”.

One day, as I was riding a bus, I noticed that the forty year old bus driver,

who was seemingly unhappy and bored with her job, had been approached by a friendly fourteen year old girl. The girl’s smile and enthusiasm was contagious and she just wanted to talk. This surprised the driver and made her smile.

This incident had such an impact on me that I decided to write a feature length script about how sometimes strangers can impact our lives. This feeling was so strong, in me, that I knew I had to get it on film. So I decided to make a “short” focusing on the bus driver.

One day, I hope to be able to get a feature length film of “Watch This” made, to continue the story of “accidental” meetings and how they can make a positive impact on lives, as these did for me.

“Watch This” was shot in Los Angles, with a cast of veteran African American actors Harrison Page ( Lionheart, C.P.O Sharky, Sledge Hammer) and Donzaleigh Abernathy ( Walking Dead, Gods and Generals, Miss Evers Boys)

Thank you for your consideration,
